Mint Julep Drink Recipe

I don’t always drink mint juleps, but when I do: 1, it’s light outside; and 2, I pretend I’m Eliza Doolittle and shout, “Move yer bloomin’ arse!” at inanimate objects in my backyard. It's oddly stress-relieving.

Ingredients:
  • 2 oz bourbon (Woodford Reserve strongly recommended)
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 3-4 mint leaves

Directions:
  • Squeeze the mint leaves and rub them around the inside of your glass; discard.
  • To the same glass, add the bourbon and simple syrup. Top with crushed ice and stir.
  • Sip while appreciating the fact that you thought making this was going to be way more difficult.
