I review CHIP OF THE FLYING U by BM Bower at The Project Gutenberg Project

I don't normally go for westerns, but this 1906 novel by the first woman to make a living off of writing westerns is absolutely fun and delightful! My favorite part of the book, though, is that the eponymous character of Chip is obviously based off of the cowboy painter, Charles M. Russell.
